Bronco Busting News Exclusive: Sydney Sweeney Gets Her Hands Dirty Bringing Vintage Fords Back to Life

Hollywood may know Sydney Sweeney as a red-carpet regular, but in the world of Bronco Busting, she’s the real deal — grease-stained hands, floor jack at the ready, and a deep-rooted respect for classic Fords. The star of Euphoria and Madame Web isn’t just posing next to restored rides — she’s doing the wrench work herself.

One of her signature projects? A cherry-red 1969 Ford Bronco, rebuilt from the ground up. Sporting a reworked 302-cubic-inch V8 delivering 205 HP and 300 LB-FT of torque, it’s been converted to automatic for street duty, but the soul of the Bronco is still intact. Sydney didn’t stop at the engine. She swapped both axles, upgraded the brakes to disc all around, tackled rust with a wire brush, and sealed the underbody herself. Chrome touches and new weatherstripping complete the look — but the most important lesson? Never leave bolts seized or hinges silent.

This kind of shop-floor wisdom comes naturally for the Spokane native, raised in a mechanic’s household. While most stars are memorizing lines, Sweeney was learning to pull axles and rewire dashboards. She shares it all on Syd’s Garage via TikTok, where 1.8 million followers get a front-row seat to her builds — not filtered, not fake, just pure Ford passion.

Next to her Bronco sits “Britney,” a 1965 Mustang in Brittany Blue with a 289 HiPo V8 in original four-barrel spec. She’s already eyeing power steering, rear disc brakes, Dakota Digital gauges, and a full engine rebuild. The wiring and trim? That’s her and builder Rod Emory’s domain — done with the same care Ford engineers used when building a tribute Mustang in Britney’s honor.

But the garage isn’t closed yet. She’s also working on a 1956 Ford F100, a patina-covered gift from her grandfather, which will soon undergo a drivetrain refresh. There’s even a Fiat 500 Jolly in the mix — not Ford, but a beach cruiser with wicker seats and vintage flair, bought for a breezy $68,500.

And yes, she’s moved from vintage to modern. Her partnership with Ford and Dickies led to a one-of-a-kind 2024 Mustang GT, built as a tribute to Britney. Robin’s-egg blue paint, 20-inch chrome wheels, starlight headliner, and her signature heart-bolt logo? Ford only made two. One stays in her hands. The other was given away in a contest celebrating women who break stereotypes — a mission Sweeney lives daily.

Even her tweets scream authenticity. “Cleaned the frame and sealed it with Rust-Oleum,” she posted recently. That’s not celebrity PR — that’s shop talk.

In a world where most stars show off their garages for clout, Sydney Sweeney builds hers bolt by bolt. She’s part of the Bronco-loving tribe that knows it’s not about perfection — it’s about passion. And whether it's the roar of a V8 or the smell of engine degreaser, her story proves something every Bronco Buster already knows:

Real horsepower is built, not bought.
